Being a Mama

My husband and I came home today from a little trip to Midway. We were gone for two days and had the greatest time. We kayaked the Provo River, rode a tandem bike and ate really amazing food at the Blue Boar Inn. We also stayed in a beautiful place called Johnson Mill. All in all, we had a really great two days. However, no matter how much fun we had nothing compares to coming home and hearing my little boy say, "Hey Mama!" and see his little face just light up when he sees me. My heart is so full of joy with being a mother. I love teaching; I love being a wife, a friend, a sister and all the other roles I play in my life. But nothing will ever take the place in my mind or in my heart when it comes to being a mama. Truly, that is the name I cherish most in this world.

I feel just a little bit closer to whom I am meant to be when I hear, "Hey Mama!"
