Chatterbox

One of the things I love about being a stay-at-home mom now is being able to take Ethan to school and picking him up again.  By far, my favorite part of the day is picking him up.  He talks my ear off all about the school day.

Today, he talked the whole ride home about water pollution.  I guess someone came to talk to the whole 4th grade about the dangers of water pollution, and the best thing about it, to Ethan, was getting the little blue foam-type water droplet thing with eyes and a mouth.  On the back it says, "Don't Pollute!"  Ethan thinks this is pretty much awesome and has named it Bob.  Of course, he names just about everything Bob for some reason.  I'm not sure if he has gotten too much about water pollution, but he sure loves Bob.

When I asked him about why we shouldn't pollute the water, as is typical, Ethan gave me a very long song and dance about water supply and particles being soaked up into the clouds and rained down upon us again.  He made up some words to make it sound very "scientifical".  Somehow it all came back down to Bob again.

When we came home I reminded him to bring up the recycling cans and he said he would do it quickly because he "really had to go to the bathroom."  After he had done so he came running into the house and then stopped in kitchen and kind of hopped around.  I asked what was wrong and he said, "I can't go pee!"  I started laughing and asked why, "I'm going to pollute the water supply! And... Bob..."

I told him to go hurry up, and it would be fine, our pee doesn't go into our water supply.  Of course Bob would be fine.  What a nut!

Meanwhile, I had a doctor's appointment.  All is well and the baby wouldn't let the doctor listen in on a heartbeat, continuing to kick and give our doctor grief.  Finally, the doctor got the baby cornered and was able to catch the heartbeat.  Stinker.

The real ultrasound is next week, but here are some more unofficial snaps from the womb:
