Jonathan's Catch-up

We ended the school year pretty well exhausted.  Jonathan is such a hard worker and a great provider!  I don't know anyone who has earned a summer vacation more than my husband.

Jonathan has been on a great many interviews for an administration position.  He has interviewed anywhere from Heber and entertained the possibility to interview in Monticello.  I say entertained because I quickly nipped that idea in the bud.  As much as we would love for him to be in an administrator's position, I do not want it to be in Monticello.  Unfortunately, it seems the Lord has other plans for us -- as always -- and he has come in as the Number 2 guy for most of his interviews.  Even thought we might something real badly, it doesn't mean we will get our way.  I'd really like to adjust that concept!

However, Jonathan has started his doctoral program with Argosy and is doing fantastic.  He has even conquered statistics!  This is a huge accomplishment for him and I am so proud.  He is earning top grades and the professors enjoy working with him.  His dissertation will be on merit pay and should we adopt that salary mentality in public school.  I enjoy his classes, too, and being able "to talk like an adult" with him and not having to talk only junior high when it comes to education.  It's fun.

Jonathan continues to be Cub Master in our ward and that is really fun as this is something he can do with Ethan.  It is so cute seeing them go off together on Tuesday nights in their uniforms.

We're slowly catching up on home projects and right now Jonathan is working on a roof for Ethan's tree fort.  Jonathan has also taken on the role of being the family gardener since I am unable to do it this year.  At some point our garden will be bounteous.  Too bad the spring was so wet and prevented us from getting it in sooner.  We might just get a whole a lotta peppers!

This brings us up to date with Jonathan!  A whole lotta schoolin', projects, and (I keep hoping) relaxin'!
