Blythe Update!

I took Blythe to the doctor because she has a raging case of baby acne.  Well, I was pretty sure it was baby acne but then I got paranoid that it might be a rash.  It was confirmed that I was, in fact, correct: baby acne.  The best part, though, was her weigh-in!  Blythe is now 7 lbs. and 6 oz.!  What a great surprise to learn she had essentially gained almost a pound.  It seems funny to say we are proud of her, seeing as all she had to do was eat, but it was exciting nonetheless.

Blythe is now entering a much more alert stage.  She eye tracks for a longer space of time and holds up her head.  She smiles her beautiful smile.  (I say this because she has my lips.)  And I can tell we are this close to laughing.  Blythe also apparently thinks I am an all-you-can-eat buffet and can nurse slowly all day long.

She loves baths and tries to lick at the water when we're not looking.  Blythe also loves music.  The best part, though?  She pretty much sleeps through the night!  Which is totally awesome.  If she does wake up in the night, you can find me feeding her either at 2 or 4 in the morning.  She will only wake up once and it will be at either one of those times.

She is a happy and beautiful little girl.
