Whadda wha....? Disneyland?

Yes!  We managed to squeeze in a trip to Disneyland.  This trip confirmed two things:  1.  We really are insane sometimes and, 2.  We are too old for short trips like this one.  TOO OLD!

The term ended and we decided -- not necessarily on a whim, we planned this insanity -- to take a three day vacation to California for Disneyland.  We thought we would be catching some sunshine for my Vitamin D deficiency but the joke was on us: it was drizzly almost the whole time!  It was UVU's Spring Break that week so we were able to leave straight away after school on Thursday and spend the night in Las Vegas that night, making it to Disneyland at a decent time on Friday.

I think Jonathan and I were more excited than the kids!

Friday was excellent weather, thankfully, and we had a fantastic time.  Blythe's first ride was It's a Small World and she sat there with eyes wide and mouth agape the whole boat ride.  Needless to say she loved the whole experience.  We were able to take her on pretty much every ride in Fantasyland -- something Jonathan and I had forgotten -- and we were all happy to do so.  She even knocked out some serious points on Buzz Lightyear!

It got to be chilly in the evening, and I wanted the boys to have some time to do boy stuff, so Blythe and I had fun strolling around and watching people.  We also went back to the hotel for naps, too.  We have annual passes so we'll be back.  Jonathan and Ethan had a great time together on Space  Mountain and Thunder Mountain.  They also went on the recently "upgraded" Star Tours.  It was so fun seeing them have fun together.  We're looking forward to our next trip in June.

As the sentimental mother, I insisted on the traditional picture of Ethan, this time with Blythe.  I take a picture of Ethan standing by this door each time we go to Disneyland.  It's right across the Teacups.  We've done this ever since he was a little guy and it has been fun to see how tall he has grown in relation to the door.  This year he insisted on holding Blythe.  The tradition continues.
