The Battle of the Cul-de-Sac

The day was intense. All the warriors had been to the armory to outfit themselves with various Nerf gear. Everyone was determined. The cul-de-sac would remain their territory.
At. All. Costs.

Finally, the time had come. They were sure of it; the enemy would be striking between the two houses, so as they lurked by the garage door waiting for the attack they didn't even notice the enemy's approach coming up the other side of the house. What could possibly happen?

There was a face-off. Then finally, with sword raised, the youngest warrior of all charged the enemies, bopped one on the head while yelling his most savage cry. The red-headed enemy could do nothing but shout, "Hey that hurt!" And the group scattered.

Was the battle a success? Depends on who you ask. Children are rarely reliable. But I do feel safer in the cul-de-sac.
