When we were home in California we took some family portraits at our home beach, Seal Beach. I was excited for this for many reasons, but mostly for sentimental ones. This is a part of who I am, and lately I have been feeling a strong urge to reconnect to my roots and to share that with Ethan. So to have family portraits taken at this beach felt just right to me. I have a sweet, sweet friend from high school who has since grown up (like we all do) and has become a terrifically talented photographer. Sarah Smith Hull did a fantastic job not only tolerating my wind blown hair, Ethan's usual refusal to smile, but also Jonathan's rear pinching shenanigans -- mine, not hers. Of course.
Finding my little padded envelope in the mailbox today added just a little extra sunshine to my day. I hadn't expected to get my pictures back so soon! What an exciting expected unexpected surprise! Here are a few of our family pictures taken by Sarah Hull of Sarah Hull Photography.
