Well I will be in my 19th week tomorrow (Sunday). This means the baby has developed its finger/toe prints and can hear what is going on outside of the womb. Jonathan, at first, would talk to it and say he was its leader. I put a stop to that right away. Now he says he is its daddy. Much better.
The baby can now suck and swallow and will begin yawning and having hiccups. This explains a lot of the hopping movements I am feeling. This baby is much more active than Ethan ever was! And I thought Ethan was really active. However, from what I've read the movements the baby has in the womb is no indication of how active it will be once it is born. This is just how it develops its muscles. I definitely notice a difference in how much more active it is after I eat certain things and after I watch different types of shows. For example, if a show is a lot more exciting and I have an adrenaline rush the baby is really hyper. Ethan was this way too. It's like I give the baby an upper!
So far the baby really likes to hang out in the lower left side of my belly. We call that spot its hidey-hole. Probably 8 times out of 10 we can find the baby hanging out there.
I will have my next prenatal doctor visit on Monday. But when I had my doctor visit on Thursday after being so sick with that medication, the heartbeat was very strong and it kicked the thing that listens to the heartbeat about 9 times. So it looks like the baby is pretty bossy!
