All About Ethan

This has been an eventful month for Ethan.  He has had a whirlwind of activities to catch up on.  First, he has been raking in the 100%s at school lately.  He earned a 100% on a magnetism test and on an electricity test, so we're real proud of him.  Also, he went through a 5th grade rite of passage common here in Utah that is known as the Wax Museum.

The Wax Museum is where students study a famous person from history, learn a short blurb from that person's biography and dress as that person.  Then, the student stands real still while people tour around the "museum".  When a "button" is pushed, the student "comes to life" and recites the blurb about his or her famous individual.  This year, Ethan's 5th grade department decided to tie their wax museum into the their state reports they already completed.  Ethan studied Alabama and chose boxer Joe Lewis.

I have no idea why this is sideways.

Ethan worked so hard on being most wax-like and he really was convincing!  I am so proud of him and the great job he did.

This month was also Ethan's basketball championship.  His team, The Rockets, were undefeated!  Ethan has come to love basketball and is fantastic on defense.  His team can always rely on him for a rebound assist and he is a great thinker for laying out a play.  Unfortunately, even though The Rockets were undefeated the whole season, they lost the championship game by eight points.  Ethan played hard and can't wait for next season.  He loves the game and we're happy to see him so excited about a sport!

Everything is coming out sideways!

Isn't he so cute!  Or should I say handsome now?  Ethan is getting so big and tall.  He will soon be taller than I am!
